Day 1

Paro – Thimphu 2 hrs

Embark on a thrilling journey as you soar through the mountains to land at Paro Airport. Our first pitstop at Tachog Lhakhang, crafted by the legendary“iron bridge builder”, sets the stage for our adventure to Thimphu. Upon settling into your hotel, we’ll kick off with a visit to the Memorial Chorten, then marvel at the grand Tashichho Dzong, a treasure trove of Bhutanese architecture. If time allows, more sites await, or we might just saunter through charming Thimphu town.

Day 2

Thimphu

We embark on a thrilling journey to Tango Monastery, cruising through picturesque valleys. Brace yourself for a short trek to the monastery,a mere one-hour jaunt. Next up, we visit the Takin Preserve, home not only to the quirky Takins but a variety of other critters. Calling all nature and animal enthusiasts! Our tour then leads us to the Textile Museum, a treasure trove of Bhutanese arts and fabrics. Don’t forget to browse for souvenirs at the nearby craft shops! The adventure peaks at the colossal Buddha
Dordenma Statue, standing tall at 170 feet. The cherry on top? A breathtaking view of the Thimphu Valley awaits you!

Day 3

Thimphu – Punakha 3hrs

Let’s embark on an epic journey to Punakha! Picture this: a pit stop at the famous Dochula-Pass for a cuppa tea among 108 chortens, a gift from Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuk. On a clear day, catch a breathtaking view of the
Himalayan Mountain Ranges. Next up, Punakha awaits! First, a charming visit
to Yuwakha Village for a peek at Chimmi Lhakhang, also known as the temple of the
Divine Mad Monk. Post-lunch, get ready to be mesmerized by the stunning Punakha Dzong, a true gem of the nation!If time allows, more exciting sightseeing and local
escapades are on the agenda. Let the Punakha escapade begin!

Day 4

Punakha

Let’s embark on a journey to the
Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten, offering a jaw-dropping
view of the Punakha Valley. Then,we’ll conquer the suspension bridge,
one of the longest in the land, soaring above the Pho Chhu river.
Finally, we’ll kick back and unwind in the serene Punakha Valley for
the remainder of the day.

Day 5

Punakha – Trongsa 4hrs

Today’s adventure takes us zipping towards Trongsa! Our first pitstop? The mystical
Chendebji Chorten is rumored to have tamed a mischievous local demon. Stretch those legs before we zoom off to Trongsa! Once there,brace yourself for the grand Trongsa Dzong, a historic fortress that once ruled Bhutan. Next up, a peek inside the Ta Dzong, a watchtower turned museum. After all the exploring, kickback and relax for the rest of the day

Day 6

Trongsa – Bumthang 3hrs

Our adventure kicks off at the dizzying Yotongla Pass, a sky-high road (at
11,200 ft) fit for thrill-seekers! First pit- stop: Jakar Dzong, aka the “white bird
dzong,” followed by Kurje Lhakhang, a holy hotspot in the realm. Lastly, we’ll swing by Jambay Lhakhang, one of the legendary 108 temples that tamed a mischievous demon. Rumor has it, these temples were strategically placed on the
demoness’ sprawling body parts, spanning across Tibet, Bhutan, and beyond, to
hush her anti-Buddhist antics!

Day 7

Bumthang

We’re off on a grand adventure to the stunning Tang Valley, one of the fab four valleys in Bumthang! Our first pitstop? The majestic Ogyen Choling Palace and Museum, where you’ll dive into the vibrant history and local lifestyle of the valley dwellers. On the way back, we swing by the iconic Mebar Tsho, aka the “burning Lake. ” This gem is a sacred spot in Bumthang, famous for hiding religious treasures revealed by the legendary Terton Pema Lingpa, guided by Guru Rinpoche!

Day 8

Bumthang – Phobjikha 5hrs

Our exciting introduction in the stunning Phobjikha valley in Bhutan kicks off uniquely –
with a comfortable stay at a classic Farm House. After getting comfortable, prepare to ascend to Gangtey Goemba, a magnificent monastery with breathtaking views. Interact with the friendly local monks in this serene location! Time permitting, we might even make a brief visit to the Black Necked Crane information center.

Day 9

Phobjikha

In every adventure plan, we sprinkle in a dash of heartwarming community service. Our guests are welcome to dive into this feel-good activity, bonding with the locals. And after that, it’s all about local sports, games, and a thrilling motorcycle showdown to keep the fun rolling!

Day 10

Phobjikha – Paro 4 & half hrs

In the morning, we bid farewell to Gangtey and head towards Paro. After getting comfortable, we explore the craft market for unique souvenirs. The day passes leisurely, with a relaxed walk through the local market

Day 11

Paro

We traverse through myriad sites on this mystical voyage. Our first destination: the Paro National Museum. Next, we journey to the sacred Kyichu Lhakhang, then to the ancient ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, and finally ascend to the ethereal heights of Chelala Pass.

Day 12

Paro

We’ve got a grand finale up our sleeves! Post a cozy brekkie, we kick off a trek to the famous Tiger’s Nest, or as the locals call it – Taktsang. Perched on a cliff, this stunning Buddhist monastery is a sight to behold, surrounded by lush greenery. Sitting pretty at 3,200m above sea level and 1000m above the Paro Valley, every step of
this hike is a treat for the senses. After conquering the trail, it’s time to unwind with
a traditional hot stone bath (compliments from Jigme Expeditions!). You’ve earned this treat! Filled with fragrant herbs and warmed by special stones, this bath is pure bliss for your body after a day of adventure!
